unseen footage

would watching it have changed a thing?

it’s either way too late or way too early. either way, i should be asleep. but i can’t, because once again, my mind is racing with thoughts of him. as i try to settle down and prepare myself for bed, i throw on netflix and finally catch up on the reunion episode of “love is blind: uk.” i thought i was going to make it through the episode unscathed. for the first 45 minutes, my eyes have remained relatively dry. until now.

matt & emma (the hosts of “love is blind: uk”) wanted to celebrate the love that nicole and benaiah have for each other by treating the two to some unseen footage - their reactions from their first pod date, the moments that followed. in the clips, you can see (and hear) the elation and pure joy they felt after their date. at one point, you can even see nicole jumping up and down, waving her arms in excitement.

what a beautiful moment for them to now have as part of their story. those are clips they can cherish, watch, and enjoy for years to come.

it got me thinking back to my first date with frank and how i reacted in the final moments of the date, and in the moments after it was over. his reactions, too. imagine if he and i could go back and watch those moments again.

would it change anything? if he and i had seen those moments one year after our first date, would he still have been able to walk away from our connection? would we still be apart?
